SDeath of Jackson Cannon f On August 17, the settlement r was greatly shocked and grieved .d to learn of the sudden death of Jackson Cannon. He suffered a severe stroke of paralysis of the brain early Sunday morn ting, and Monday noon he died. ?- He wvas born and lived in Pick i ens county all his life. Clinkscales in a letter to the editor of the Spartanburg Herald Wednesday, expressing his appreciation of the paper's support and thanking the people of his home county for their magnificent vote; says: "And now, Mr. Editor, I am not a sulker or a quitter.
