NEWS FROM "
RIVERSIDE-TOXAWAY.
Mr. J. J. Collins, of Draughonsl
Business College, Greenville, spent
a few days last week in the village
visiting Mr. Fields of Riverside.
The new addition to tire River
side Mill is being completed and
the machinery is being started up
as fast as possible. This new addi
tion is a splendid and complete
tittle mill within itself. It is on the
ground floor of the main building
of the Riverside mill and contains
the newest and most up-to-date
machinery that is on the market.
The friends of Mr. Fields, over
seer of spinning: at Riverside-Tox
awav. have been wondering for
the last week or more why it is
that he is always in such a hurry
and is smiling all the while. The
secret has been disclosed. Only a
few mornings ago while on his
wav to work, as usual, passed
some friends on the way who- of
course said: Good morning, Mr.
Fields!" "It's a girl!" was the
quick reply of ihe gentleman who
.s still wearing a smile.
Miss Lizzie Bell Henderson and
Mr. Merredith are assisting Mr.
Mull in the company store at Tox
awav now. '
The night school class at the
hall is petting down to hard work
since Prof. Abrams has his new

his home conveniently. Prot*
Abrams is giving the fellows prac

the class is gaining some valuable
information.
Miss Mosely at the new Library
has her program for the people of
Riverside-Toxaway under full
swing and would be glad to have
the people of the village visit the
Library and see what is going on
from time to tinte. Cooking
classes, sewing classes, girl clubs,
children's evenings, etc.. etc., are
being organized. Find out what's
doiwg and get in with the classes,
also make use of the books that
can be borrowed from the Library.
These are opportunities not found
everywhere. j
The Halloween party at the
Library Saturday night was a
splendid affair and every one who
attended enjoyed the evening run
ning from ghosts, chasing Jack
O'Lanterns and enjoying the
sports that had been planned.
Miss Fannie Pearson, one of the
popular young ladies of Toxaway
village and Mr. Marsele Shaw, of
BeU?n were married, a few Sun
days ago on the Interurban car be
tween Anderson and Belton. The
novelty of the place added much
popularity to the occasion and the
