Are in Florida.
Quite a number of Anderson people
took advantage of the excursion trip
to Florida Tuesday. Trains leaving
tho city carried large parties to Tam
pa and other points in the "Land of
Flowers" and they will spend a week
there, viewing the scenes of interest.

The state board of health of South
Carolina bas advised Anderson phy
sicians that there ls much dlptherla
all over the state at thiB timo and
that reports reaching tho board from
every county in the state indicate
that there is almost an epidemic of
dlptherla In South Carolina. The
statement is made from tho depart
ment at Columbia that over $200 worth
of antitoxin is hoing mailed out daily
by tito board of health and that re
quests for additional quantities are
being received from all the counties,

Shock Felt Here I
Various towns in South Carolina re
ported yesterday that they experien
ced an earthquake shock yostorday
morning at 7 minutes past 2 and as us
