Mr. Davis was a good1 Christian man-a consistent, member of the Baptist church-a good and, generous neighbor-was one or thu heroes of the Confederate army. ' Mr. Davis', was a great sufferer arid his death whs a relief ter the physical body ?nd a blessing to the soul which we have every reason to believe ie at rest.
