Editor The Intelligencer: Miss Bertha Banister was born near Mt. Bethel chureh, 33 years ago and died July 16, and was burled the fol lowing day at Silver Pr?ok enamtnrv. When about 14 years of age her father moved to Anderson where ehe lived the greater portion of. bor after life. She attended regularly upon the ser vice of the -, Second Baptist. . church, which church she united with end was baptized by Rev. William- Brown. She sat under his ministry for years and also, under Mr. B. P. Mani din as Sunday- school teacher until-she ber came a teacher herself. - Some 15 years ago she was married to Mr. Olile Cr orner. .Soven children were bor , to them. Six of them with the husband are left to mourn her going away. About five or six years ago they moved out to Calhoun and she soon united with the Shady Grove Baptist ohurch of which* the writer was pas tor. .'. was there the friendship whlej lasted until her death was 1>; gun. - j She loved to talk about religion and ' never seemed to be so happy as when so engaged.
