Stocks and Bonds
New York, July 13.-Continued sell-,
lng of securities, a goodly part of
which was believed to rCpereBcnt
liquidation today caused further un*'
settlement lu the trtock market. The
movement differed from that at last*
week in thut it offered most of the
high grades issues. A noteworthy .
feature was the persistent offering of
Canadian Pacific. It rustalned a net
loss of 4 1-8 points. The selling was
ascribed to commission brokers pre
sumably acting for ?tome clients. I
United States Steel was another i
leader to decline and Union Pacific. I
the coulers and metal shares yielded i
from 1 to 2 points. Now Haven and :
other issues of the rame class were ?
again weak, the former declining to j
interests recent low record, while J
some of thc Gould stocks added to
their recently severe losses. The ar
rangement of New 'Haven's former
management by. the Interstate Com
merce Commission had little.effect on
the market. z
Prices ralllod fractionally in thc
final, declinings, and the tone at thc
close was weak. New Haven however,
reflecting ironie buying.
London WOB a moderate buyer here
despite dull conditions at homo.
Paris was observing a holiday and
Berlin prices were lower. Renewed
weakness was reported from Vienna.
Money rater were normally higher.
In thc bond list half a score of low

points the latter being the extent of
the decline In one of the New- Haven

Grain & Provisions
Chicago, July 13.-Immense reports
from the crup led to a decided fall
today in the price" of wheat. The

throughout the session, closed heavy
at 7-8 to 1 1-8 net decline. Corn fin
ished 5-8 to 78 down, oats off 5-8 to

from 10c loss to an advance of 20
