Mr. Mason sets forth the folowlng precautions to be taken in building a silo: There should be a good foundation of either brick or concrete and thh foundation should extend down into the ground to solid earth, ns well ns about a foot above the surface. The drain pipe in the bottom of the silo should always be stopped up before the filling of the silo is begun. ..
