Throughout Anderson county the
liveliest Interest is being manifested
in Hi" meeting of the hive Steck As
soclatlon of South Carolina which is
scheduled for February 4, r? and 6.
In all probability a number of Ander
son people will attend the event and
it is hoped that many of them will
this year, as has become a custom
with Anderson people, win a number
of pries.
There are to bc a number of in
ten sting discussions as will be seen
from consulting the lengthy program
which has been arranged.
The association will hold also a
buttcrmaking contest, which every
one engaged In buttcrmaking ls urged
to enter. There will be two classes
of butter considered: namely, dalry
butter and farm or country butter;
Thc former includes butter made by
dairymen from separator cream of
fered In original pacak?cs; the latter
includes butter made In any other
way than from tho centrifugal cream
separator system. Valuable prides of
various kinds are offered for winners
in each contest.
The Association is accomplishing
much good for its members through
the publication of a sale and want
Hst, which Is free to members. Two
slogans of the association, the spirit
of which is being worked out with
much good, effect are: "More Live.
Stock and Better hive Stock," and
"Death to the Grade Sire."
