It ia the opinion of many of the lead
ing citixenB ot Helton that these ar
rangements will be . preferable to a
weekly paper printed at Belton. The
Intelligencer will be received at Bel
ton at reven o'clock each' morning and
be dlatrbuted by carriers over tho city,
and the news of Bclotn wilt be receiv

A fact which is not generally known
is that Belion receives the weather
forecasts each day direct from Wash
ington from the weather bureau and
then distribute-j it by maii to all the
other cities.and towns of thc Pied
mont. Thia lia a distinction and
shows that (Belton is strictly on thc
Job when it comeB to matters progres
sive.
un account or me tact tnat several
trains have been discontinued by thc
Piedmont & Northern Lines, Belton
now haa only 72 passenger traine,
and 28 rfeight -trains to arrive and
leave each day. Thus lt will be seen
that this city has only 100 ways to j
get into : M out of the best little
city of tho Piedmbnt section of South
Carolina.
The -merchants of Belton have fin
ir ied taking stock and casting up
accounts for the past year. They
are all ?pleased with their year's
work, and many of them claim to
have done the best Lusts JSB in thc
history of their car ers Situated in |
