Various trials of the new French horseshoe,
which is made entirely of sheep's
liom, are said to show its particular
adaptedness for horses employed in
towns, and known m't to have a steady
foot on the pavement. The results of
the experiments are therefore regarded
as very satisfactory, horses thus shod
having been driven at a rapid pace on
such pavements without slipping. Besides
this advantage, the new shoo is
spoken of as more durable, aucl, though
a little more expensive than the ordinary
kind, seems destined sooner or later to
replace the iron shoe.
