On W<yljiosd?y night of Inst week, .About 8 o'clock, a freight train on the .Columbia and Greenville Railroad was stormed with rocks just as it was entering Donnald's. Mr. C. M. Withers was .the engineer, and he and his fireman jiarrowly escaped from injury. They bad not the least suspicion of an attack, whon suddenly two large stones went crashing through the cab windows^ breaking them into a thousand pieces. The miscreants who hurled the missiles ?orn nnt coon nnfl no effort wap made to apprehend them. On the following afternoon (Thursday) the up passenger train camc upon an obstruction upon the track at about the place where the freight train was stoned. Engineer Jim Fetner was bowling along, and observed that a crosstie had been run endways into a hole and the other end was protruding above the track. He just had time to stop and save his train. ?Anderson Journal.
