The roll of clubs was called and quorum found to-be present. The unfinished businews, viz reports of local clubs with regard to the County offices was then taken up. Only two clubs ha?i taken notion. One was in favor of the resolution and the other opposed to it. after discussion the resolntion offered at last meeting was adopted. N The following committee was appointed to investigate and report to the next iv meeting of the convention the status of all the offices supported by fees. viz. Messrs. T. A. Graham, F. W. R. Nance ana J. T. Horton. The local clubs reported no action taken in regard to the selling of cotton in the seed. With regard to the settling of difficulties between farmers by arbitration Mr. A. W. Jones offered the following resolution which was adopted. Resolved, That a committee of five bo*1 appointed by the President to memorialize the Legislature, asking the passage of a statute, authorizing, and rogulating arbitration, and said committee bo authorized to make murh rpr.nminendatioiiK as thov think ?r ? i proper. The following were appointed under that resolution; Messrs. A. W. .Tones, M. B. Clinkscales, .T. L. White, B. P. Neel and John E. Bradley. Nearly all of the voting precincts were represented. Cnrntel. An entertainmont was given at Mt. Carmel on la>t Friday night for the benefit of the school house. Tt was under the auspices of the "Mt. Carmel Big Nine,'" and consisted of minstrels, farces, songs, music, recitations &c.. They wero assisted by Mr. James Hill of this place, who gave them some excellent music on the banjo. The entertainment we learn was quite a success, and was greatly enjoyod by thoso in attendance. Father Monnaghan preached toa large congregation on Sunday morning at the Ohurch of the Sacred Heart Yesterday waa All-Saints day, and was appropriately observed. To-day is All-Soul's day, and mass will be offered, at eight o'clock for the peaceful repose of all souls in purgatory. mm The Abbeville Rifles.
