at 12:30, sine die, with the docket
practically clear. There were a few
frivolous cases left over which will
piobably be tried at the May term.
This was the longest, term held ir
Pickeus in several years.

Salaries for Pickens County Officers.
The Legislature receintly piassed an
Act providing for the salaries of all
the officers in all thme counties, except
Judge of Probate, Master of Equity
anid Magistrate. For the latter a
special Act wVas passed. Judges of
Probate and Masters will drawv the
same salaries and in.eive the same
fees as heretafore.
It is declared in the Act that the
compensation shall be graded in pro
portion to the population and neces
sary service required.
Following are the salaries to be
paid the Pickens county oflicers this
year:
A uditor, $676; Sheriff, $600; Super.
visor, $600; Superintendenmtof1 Educa
Lion; $500: oroner, $100; County
Commissioners, $250 each: Clerik of
Board of County Commissioners $100;
