shall hear nothing about the sicarcity
of cotton. Receipts wvill ho heavier

not raise 11,000,000 bales of cotton
during any year of the next live is
the most absurd I ever heard.

We. suppose this is why the prieo

England mill men have it in t heir
head there will be another big crop

left; the Southern mills will take
every pound they can get, at what
ever price they can get it at, and he

on full time, while the Northern mill
men will have to run on short t imea,
pay a big~ pr-ice, or shut downa alto
gether.
The cotton crop of the cotton belt
is at least a third short, and it will
be found out after the season is over.
The prodlucer will find that lie hats
