A TEXAS LETTER.

Valley View, Tex., Jan. 6, 1901.
I will write The Journal a short
letter as I pronised.
After leaving Greenville on the
12 :30 train, I reached Atlanta
about sun-set; my Chattanooga
train was just pulling out, but I
made a good run and caught it,
then for Nashvillo. I reached
. Memphis the next evening about 4
o'eluck and had two hours stay
there. I reached Fort Worth at
S11 o'clock the socond night and
aslept fivA hours and got ready for
my ride 45 miles over the Santa To
and Topeka R. R., and glad to
stato to you all I found my family

and distributed the nice presents
