D~patch tells the followlng:
Tnere Is a sIngular but an absolutell
true story of a watch which won
through the cyclone. The timepiece
which has been under lIr'e and is now
ve.teran, was an old1 ore of strong build
When the storm struck, the owner
whose name is 13ryant, forgot all abou
his valuables In tho hustle for safety
The watch was in the drawer of
bureau. A fter the blow was over Mr
IBryant found himself almost withou
a scratch and went back to vidw thi
house. Hie found nothing but a land
scape. He began to search about thb
ruIns early the next morning, an'
here comes the funny, but true part o
it. In the bottom of an unbrokei
pickle jar were the works of the watcl
ticking away, while the 8Ilver casi
could not be found.
