The violinist made some e.xcellent music and the best of order prevailed throughout. -J1. M. Hall, who carrios the United States Mail between he're, and Easley, always comes in on time. Ho says the "MU D" does8n't have any elect on him, only to break his vehicle occasionally. -Dr. Leon ard, dental surgeon in Greenville, is well equipped for tho business and invites his friendls and patrons in Pickons county to call and see himi in h is excellent quar'ters ovor Bruce & D~ostor's drug store. -E. M. Kennemore, of Easley, is going to try a new cotton send this season. It is claimed to make four bales to the acre, averaging fortr hundred and fifty poeunds. C. V., No. 285, met at this place oni last Saturday for the pur P''se of electing oflicors for the next ensuing~ year and the trans action of such business as might como hoefore it. The meeting wvas of moroe than usual interest, as under the amended Ponsion law, the camp elected the township P'ension Board andl delegates to the re-union of the U. C. V., from aill the late confederato states, in Juno next, at Nashville, Tonn., and to the state re-union at Green ville, in May next. Tlher~e was a good turn out of the 01(1 grizloy vets., and more than usual interest mn the meeting was manifested by most of the mem bers present.
