against prohibition in some quarters
but it is gaining ground in several of
the states at this time by means of the
increased vigilance in the enforcement
of the laws.

There was not much of the tobacco
crop in this county ready for delivery
at the warehouses last week, yet sevveral
loads came in every day and
were left to be stored at the various
warehouses.

The tobacco season coming1 on at the
time it does in this section of the
country, not only brings better business
but it forbids the taking of vacation
for many people at the time when

this year. This is the substance of
