ABOUT NEW
SCHOOL B'LD'GS
Editor Horry Heraldr
I desire space in your paper to make
a few statements relative to the erection
of several new school houses in
the county. T notice that new buildings
>re soon t-> be completed at Sweet
Home, MtOlive. Pine Grove, Rehobeth,
Dog Bluff, High Point, Savannah
Bluff and Simpson Creek. These are
only the few thnt I remember. Several
other nice buildings have not long
since been completed.
In addition to the above, 'Conway
has spent about $60,000 in building to
her already nice high school building.
The trustees of I,oris are struting
around a $28,000 brick building with a
Delco light plant and steam heat.
Green Sea has a $25,000 high school
building and is the only consolidated
high school in the county.
The County Superintendent, trustees.
and tax payers are to be congratulated
on these modern improvements.
The County Supt.. requested" the
Horry Delegation to give him $!)000
as a building fund. We did this, now'

The case of Johnson Paint Co.,
against J. J. Goff >vas tried during
the term of the court last week, and
resulted in a verdict in? favor of the

been purchased by the defendant,
Goff, and for Avhich he-had not paid;
that they had shipped this paint in
accordance with the written order of
the defendant to Aynor, S. C.
The defendant alleged in his answer
that be had never received this
paint and that the plaintiff had never
furnished him with any bill of lading
showing the shipment so he could put
in a claim against the railroad company
for the amount or vallie of theN
paint.
After the ca*e had been tried a motion
for a new trial was made, and
which had not been decided at the
time of the writing of this article.
