said that he considered them as deserving

on next Tuesday.

made up to last week, there are two

Radio Multiplies
There is almost a dozen radio receiving
stations in Conway. The first
r?ne to he installed was that of Dr. V.
F. Piatt's on Elm Street. Since then
they have been going faster than
would have been expected.
They can hear anything: that is
broadcasted in this country. If they
get tired of hearing- a sermon they
can change to something else that is
being broadcasted from some other
sf,ation, either farther off or nearer.

Holmes Russ, while trying to crank
an unruly Ford on Thanksgiving Day
got a broken arm for his pains.
He sought the aid of a physician
and the broken member was set. j

NO SECOND RACE
An idea was current among: the
people yesterday, it appears, that
the result of the vote next Tuesday,
in the mayor's race may call for a
second election.
The city authorities say that this
cannot be , because it is not a primary
of the Democratic party, but the
general election for the town, and the
candidate who receives the highest
vote for the office will be declared
elected.
If there is a tie, of course there
will be a second election to determine
the choice.

SUCCESS AT AYNOR

The clinic Riven at Aynor last Fri- .
day turned out to be quite a success. .
Children to the number of forty were
brought, in and examined for defects.
A number wore referred to the clinic
hero at Conway today where they will
ve-eivo the attention of experts on
children's diseases.
Dr. S. J. Ropers attended tho clinic
at Aynor and rendered a great service
in the work accomplished.

FILLS PULPIT
The Rev. Albert D. Betts came to
Conway last Saturday night. froiv
the Methodist Conference in Marion,
and on Sund y he filled the pulpit at
the Conway Methodist church, in the
absence of the pastor, the Rev. J. C.
Atkinson.
Mr. Betts told the congregation
among other things, that the Conway
church is now regarded as among the
leading churches in the district. This
is on account of the great Sunday
school record, the nice parsonage and
the fact tlvat the County has the Horry
Industrial School, and the mission
at Myrtle Reach.
