ANCIENT TRUST IS QUESTIONED

had become trustee of the funds under
an order of the court following the
death of the first and possibly a second
trustee, received from the Peoples
Bank twenty-four and one-half
shares of the stock of the bank out
of the undivided profits from the
shares which constituted the capital
of the trust at that time*
The controversy arose over these
twenty-four and one-half shares. Mrs.

income from the corpus of the estate,
while the trustee was advised
that these shares had become a part
of the corpus of the fund and would
belong in remainder to the children

The case was submitted to Judge

to the contention of Mrs. Anderson.
The decree provided that the
trustee was entitled to pay his attorney,
Mr. Walter Hazard, a reasonable
attorney's fee out of the fund for representing
the trustee in the controversy
There was a hearing here before

Friday evening at the office of Hon.

LARGE BEETLES EAT
THE BEANS
(Continued from Page One.)
ica and the world.
When the bean family grows it
forms certain shoots which take nitrogen
from the air and combine it
to manufacture nitrogen which greatly
enriches the soil. If the bean crop
is destroyed the nitrogen supply is
uesiroyexi wmi it aim must no ontained
from other sources, if the* soil
is to remain fertile.
Further investigation after the discovery
of the large, beetle in Conway
shows that the "lady bird" beetle
which threatens the bean crop in the
states above named is nothing like
the one found by the colored people
here. The bandit beetle, which is the
enemy of the bean plant ,is only about
a quarter of an inch long.
The insect found in Conway bolongs
to some oilier family of beetles.
He is big enough and ugly enough
to make a stir, but be is not the rea'
thing and does not exist in such large
numbers.
