MORAL CONVICTIONS |
The young fellow who goes to a
dance Sunday evenings may think it
does him no harm. But he is scarcely
living up to his best impulses. Men
who persistently reach toward high
ideals are the ones who land behind
the manager's desk.
Church attendance means better

develop along social, physical and religious
lines. To stop with the first
two means he is not treating himself
fairly. Come to church Sunday. We
need you. You'll be surprised how
much you need us.
IN A MORAL RUT?
If you put "the best apples on the
tap," shade every pound of butter, or
when you are in the city slip by the
street car conductor when he is not
looking, you will soon get into a dangerous
moral rut.
Religion is the only tiling that will
get you out of a moral rut and take
you beyond the grave.
Don't wait until the doctor gives
up hope before deciding to be a regular
attendant at church services.
Make your life and that of your
neighbors brighter by living Christianity
now. You are welcome at

ATION IS A SOCIAL FACTOR
It has to do with people, and the
conditions in which they live. It In
a civilizer. It is something' which
makes communities different and better.
Education helps the church, helps
the home, helps character. It helps
the whole community.
It reduces taxes. Wq complain
about the school tax. We think we
pay too much. It is hard to get the
people to vote a mill or two. But
schools cost less than courts. Pupils
less rampant among- intelligent people
than among the ignorant. Ignorance
is the costliest thing in the
world. It makes mischief everywhere
it thrives. It makes crime. It makes
pauperism. It makes expensive political
blunders. It makes foolish errors
of every sort, and the community
pays the bill. Better build schools.
Better build colleges. Better give intelligence
a chance. Intelligent people
dont tote pistols. Intelligent people
don't kill each other about fence
lines. They talk it over reasonably
and settle it sensibly. Intelligent
people don't steal a living, they make
one. Every school is a tax reducer.
It means the reign of reason and law
and order.
Our local churches are striving for
higher Christian education and merit
your support. Attend their services
regularly.
If you have money we want it.
