WALTON COMING
Bishop Denny has appointed Dr.
Fletchei* Walton of the north Georgia
annual conference for the months of
July and August to Myrtle Beach.
Bishop Denny could scarcely have
found in the bounds of the church a
more profound preacher or lovable
character than is Dr. Walton.
It i< irwlpivl fnrt linntp thnl ho r.in
he at Myrtle Beach for tlie summer
and so ably serve the residents and
tourists in his ministrations from 11 ?e
pulpit and otherwise. One foels that
his service will be a splendid setting
for the great institutional plant, for
this plant is not only to he the rallying
point of moral and religious forces
but also is to be a point of radiation
and spiritual and intellectual forces
that shall bless humanity. The objective
is nothing less than Ocean
Grove in New Jersey, which is serving
in so signal a way the East and Middle
West. Dr. Walton, as the first
pulpit man, harmonizes with the general
idea of development in. no uncertain
way.
But I need not prolong the introduction
of Dr. Walton, matchless
preacher, truest friend, princely geneleman.
Hear him on the lirst Sunday
in July and each Sunday during
tho tourist season. Call on him at
the Mvrtle Beach Hotel.

THAT BOY OF YOURS r
Is trying to walk in his father's footsteps.
You want him to he honest,
truthful and fair. Where can lie learn
tl-ir><p vivtiios hpttor than in the home
and Sunday School ?
Why should 1 go to church and Sunday
school while Dad goes visiting or
fishing? Many a youth lu\s asked
himself this.
Take Him to Ch'iTh
Lessons learned u> youth will never
leave him. Give him the best possible
moral foundation. He will go most
willingly if you go to church with him.
Regular church attendance means
better living.
"This is such a fine day, suppose we
go fishing or out of town for a
visit"?and the church for that Sunday
is left to itself.
This is not your idea of supporting
the best asset your community has.
But many persons put pleasure ahead
of church attendance.
The Church Needs You
The pulpit and the press are the
two great upbuilding forces of every
community. You wouldn't care to
live in any town where either was absent.
Suppose everyone gave the
church the support you do in time and
money. How long do you think it
would keep alive?
You have a definite responsibility
to support some church. It is helping
you whether you know it or not.
If you have money we want it.
If you want money we have it. I
