lady of the highest culture and attainments.

same building. He is a young business

HORRYITE DIES
IN FLORIDA
Mrs. Costie Hodges of Sanford, Fla.,
died at her home there the first of
this week and her body was sent here
for burial at her old home. She was
a daughter of Mrs. Bettie McM. Long
and the late L. I). Long. She left
two very young children, one of
whom, born in the last few days, died
a few hours after the mother. She
is survived by a number of brothers
and sisters: Messrs. Clarence Long,
Isaac G.; John A. and James H. Long,
and A. H. Long of Conway; Mr. Hickman
Long, recently of Mull ins, S. C.;
Mrs. Hannah Stoggins of Conway;
Mrs. Maude Powell of Fairmont, N.
C., S. C. Long of Toddville, and Mrs.
A. M. Dusenburv of Conway.
She was married here several years
ago and left with her husband to live
in their home at Moultrie, Ga. Later
she moved to Sanford, Fla., where
she died. For a number of years she
had been a sufferer from asthma, and
this, with other complications, caused
her death. Before her man iage she
had taken a business course and was
a bookkeeper for some time in the
employment of the Conway Bargain
House.
