The error made in locating the new
road appears plainer and plainer as
the work on the ne^awmd progresses.
'* Already enough ni'6noy has been
! spent on the work betwtyin Ctonway
and the Quattlebaum fawn t& have
finished the road completoly by the
I way of the new road, as it has been
called, running away from the end of
Third avenue.
Go oitt to the place where the n
road leaves Fourth avenue and look at
both ways. It will be seen that the
two ways are almost parallel. This
fact in itself is enough to show that
needless expenditure has been made.
If not satisfied then, go on out and
look at the amount of earth that has
been hauled in and the number of cuts |

GIVE OUR VISITORS
A GOOD IMPRI0SSION
Tlio local press is carrying the joint
programs of the Marion District Conference
with the list of delegates to
the Ecclesiastical District Conference.
To this list will he added the delegates
to the Sunday School Conference.
The combined Conference will
bring to Conway the largest body of
Christian workers ever assembled
here. The natural <|uestion of evei'y
citizen of this splendid town is:
What impression shall our Christian
quests carry away concerning Conway's
religious, moral, social, intellectual,
and business life? An affirmative
answer on the part of Conway,
as hostess to her distinguished
visitors spells growth, construc

spoil loss, destructiveness.
I hold no fear. The very name of
Conway is a synonym* for hospitality,
her citizens are alert to treat kindiy
and impress favorably her worthy
visitors. April 25-27 is tho time of
the district conference, so let us
think and talk in tho terms of the
largest religious gathering' in Conway's
history.
Sincerely Yours,
J. C. ATKINSON.

RADCLIFFE HAS
SIGNED AGAIN1
Tlio Radcliffe chautaviqun will come

MUST IMPROVE
I ho service in supplying1 gasoline
and lubricants here will certainly improve
if the increase in filling stations
means anything. There was already
one and now two more are being
completed.
