Conway defeated Marion 10 to 1 in a fast and exciting game of baseball. This was the first game played op the home grounds and was witnessed by a number of fans, although the weather was threatening. Dawsey pitched we!1 and allowed the visitors only three singles and a double, while the locals collected 12 hits, two of them being for extra bases.
