Chamber of Commerce to construct:
a sweet potato curing and storage '
warehouse at Conway has been,]
abandoned. With $3,650.00 pledged t1
on the. capital stock, 'an ample |1
amount to proceed with the erection
of the house, and with all pielimin-jj

found necessary to forego ihe con- ,
struction of this house, at least for
the present.
The Atlantic Coast Line Railroad
Company has refused to permit the,
construction of a side track at any (
suitable point from which such a
warehouse could he served. Sidu
track facilities, in the opinion of the !
committee, and in the opinions of
those familiar with the management
of sweet potato warehouses, are absolutely

Chamber of Commerce's committee
on potato warehouse, took the mattor
up with Supt. W. If. Newell. .Jr..
and ropuested information as to
steps necessary to secure sido track
facilities. Under date of Me *h 15th

reference to the matter as follows:

The monthly "Get-together meet- 1
ing" of the officers and teachers of
the Methodist Sunday School waheld
at the Kingston Hotel las'.
Thursday night with a large attendance.
Mr. A. E. Goldfinch, the
Superintendent, was master of
ceremonies and wisely brought forward
ciuestions for discussion looking
toward the fu*ure growth and
efficiency of the school. Those di
cussions partook of the nature of!
round table talks and were freely
entered into by all. Special emphasis
was placed upon the Sunday
School work to be featured during the
month of April, which is as follows:

week of evangelism to he carried out
in the Sunday School, closing with J
Easter. April 2Gth-27th Sunday
School District Conference to bo
held in Conway and April 30th
jRallv Day. The officers and teachers
all pledged themselves to make
