business college in the state. Of
course, we could not have done this
without the backing of the F'orence
Chamber and other prominent people.
W'e now have pupils from all over
the state and from other states.
When we came we rented a large
hall, but soon outgrew it and the

Commencement On Saturday Brings
Governor and State
Superintendent.
Conway has been host in the past
to many gathering's* but on Saturday,
March 25, the town is to have the
ipicas ute of welcoming probably the

probably ever assembled here. The
occasion is the county commencement
of adult schools to bo attended by
fhe Governor of the state, the state
superintendent of education, the
caehers add trustees of the county
and 500 adult .school pupils. i
For the fiNst two months there has
been waged in the county a campaign j
of much import, a campaign largely;
participated in by every public-spirit- '
ed citizen in the county, a campaign 1

banco to learn to write his or her j
name and to read. Hundreds of our)
people denied this opportunity in i

A delightful luncheon will lie served
on Thursday 'evening, March 23. in
the town hall at 7 o'clock by the Service
Class of the Conway Methodist
Sunday School. On that evening the
Service Class and fhb Hut Class will
he hosts to their friends and the general
public. The luncheon will he
given as a benefit for the scholarship
fund of the Hut Class. It is generally
known that some months ago this
class established a scholarship at
Columbia College for a young lady of
Conway and the purpose of Thursday
night's entertainment will he to
