prices, send the facts to the Horry

He who arouses the interest of
his pupils truly teaches, and, conversely,
he who does not, teaches
not. This is the first great commandment
of the science of pedagogy?and
there is no second! The
human mind is a storage battery
and interest is the switch. Unless
the switch is closed, no current will
or can flow.

WHAT ELSE?
Wo have the general stock law and
\et in some neighborhoods there is
going on all the time a constant
wrangle over cattle allowed to run
at large. Some farmers have n<>
good pasture fences yet built.. Their
hogs and goats and cows got out and
walk over into their neighbors field*
and eat up the crops. It a
shame. The other day a farme? killed
*. cow because sho persisted in
eating up his corn. She wa> so*
wild ho cov.kl not rope her and thus
confine her until the owner had to
uir.k^ r. fence that would hold her.
His only remedy was to shoot and
kill and who could blame him. He
doubtless expected to pay for th
cow when he killed her. What else
could he do ?
