TAKING VACATION.
D. C. Anderson, the foreman in
the Herald plant has been spending
a short vacation at Murrells Inlet
with a party of friends. He is expected
back tomorrow.

Governor Cooper is spending: the
Summer in the mountains. The
other day prohibition officers found
a modern copper still within a few
hundred yards of his Summer home.
The operators of this still are unknown
and at last accounts had not
been apprehended. The still was
located there long before the governor
selected his summer restimc
place, and doubtless was operated for
a long: time in violation of the law
iust as numbers of other mountain
stills were.
