Mr. Cohn is now preparing to open an up-to-date grocery store in the new Spivey Block on upper Main Street. There were a few signs of "monkey rum" anion# the crowds visiting the beach during* the Fourth of July vacations, but there was no disorder over tins or any other matter during tho I whole time so far as reported. One drunk was noted, but he was very quiet in his enjoyment, if really it was enjoyment. Peacock at <? o'clock Tuesday evening. Before the ceremony Mrs. 1. I.. \V. McDonald sang "Constancy" and "Perfect Love." The wedding march was p ayed by Mrs. Iv B. Giles. The bride's only attendant was Miss Thelma Hunt, Tittle, Miss Frances Smith was flower girl! and Herbert Bailey ring bearer. The bridal party stood under : n arch of ' nink roses. The entire 1 w o >i of the home was decorated with smila\ and pink loses. The impressive ring cermony was used. The Rev. T. B. Anderson officiated. The bride was becomingly dressed in a suit of blue tricotine with accessories to match. Her bouquet was a shower bouquet of maiden hair fern 1 and bride roses, and swrnsona. After the ceremony a salad course, followed by ices, was served. Mrs. Langston is the youngest daughter of Dr. and Mrs. Peacock and is loved and admired by a host of friends. Mr. Langston is a member of the faculty of Wake Finest college, Wake For-' est, N. C. He is the youngest son i of Dr. W. .J. Langston of Greenville, lie saw exton-ive service overseawith the \. K. F., and was decorated by the King of Italy for his efficient service and bravery during the late war.
