of South Carolina will he held
by the County Superintendent of Education
at the County Court House
Friday, July 8, 1021, at 9 a. m.
The University offers varied
courses of study in science, literature,
history, law and business. The ex
penses are moderate and many opportunities
for self support are afforded.
Scholarships are available. Military
training1 is compulsory for
Freshmen and Sophomores, Reserve

Chief Game Warden, will no
doubt be of interest to all fishermen |
and hunters in this section. Mr. McCaskill
suggests that every fisherman

"In the pamphlet of Bird, Game
and Non-Migratory Fish Laws of j
.South Carolina, in April 1020, there t

in part, says:
"There shall be a close time in all J
the creeks, streams and inland waters J
of the State from the setting of the;

which time all seins, nets or any plan
or device for the stoppage or collecting

using such seins, net., plan or device
in violation of the provisions of this I
Act shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor,
and upon conviction thereof
before any Court of competent

of two hundred dollars, one-half of
which shall go to the informer and
the other half to the Court in which
the cntso shall be tried, or be imprisoned
for a period of not less than
thr^e nov more than six months, or
both, in the discretion of the Court
trying the case. Nothing herein contained
shall apply to fishing with dip
nets used by hand. And wherever
any seine, net or plan or device for
the stoppage or collecting of fish, as
above stated, shall be used, the Chief
Game Warden or .any Warden shall
have the authority, in the name of
the State, to seize and hold such seine,
net or plan or device for the stoppage
or collecting of fish, and to use
