the gun but Fink Graham and Charley
Graham restrained Quince. Took
hold of prosecutor's knee, but was

night before, close to Charley Graham's
home. He also had a deed

Defendant testified in his own behalf,
stated that he had dropped 4

pick it up. He demanded the pistol ,
ind this brought on the difficulty.
Defendant was found guilty of ag- j
fravated assault and sentenced to
>ne year. Ho has appealed to the ,
supreme court.
Next case, J. T. Everett, was call- \
id to answer to a charge of assault
with intent to kill. The prosecutor
stated that Everett was farming on ,
lis place. That he went there with ^
lis son-in-law and defendant had |
Irawn a gun and threatened him;
;hat he would shoot prosecutor if ^
they ever drove in there and picked (
grapes or any thing else like that.
J. C. Cause testified that Everett
told him he bad a dispute about the .
'rapes with O. E. Kimbrel and went
n the house and got his gun and j
i>ut two shells in the gun and went |
)ack an$ told Kimbrel and Nicholas
to pick any more grapes and he
would shoot them.

verdict which was granted. A sim- 1
ilar case against Everett was nolle J
crossed.

The State vs Sol Chad man on a j
charge of violation of the prohibition
laws, was tried. Defendant ,
was tried in his absense and an or- '
:ler was issued against him and his
bondsman, Mr G. B. Jenkins, toi(
show cause why his bond should not I;
!>e collected. Chadman was convicted
and a sealed sentence enteral
against him.
Morgan Todd, convicted of man j
laughter, was sentenced to three (
years in the penitentiary or chain j

The Slate vs J. E, "Etroud fori
trespass, was an appeal from matfis
tratc court. Defendant was convictcd
in magistrate court, he appealed
and his appeal was sustained.
The State vs Mack Elliott for refusing
to dip cattle, was also an appeal
as defendant was convicted in j

the court of General Sessions. His
appeal was dismissed.

is used the potatoes should be soaked
for one and a half hours in a solution
of four ounces of corosive sublimate
to 30 gallons of water. This
solution should be renewed after using
three times. Since it corodes
metal, the solution should be used in
a wooden or earthen ware vessel.
In either case the potatoes should
be soaked before cutting. Roth solutions
are poisonous and should be
