The fire caught in a closet of the, residence and nearly all of Mrs. Todd's clothing was burned up. The alarm was given by the tolling of the church bells and aid promptly arrived from nearby residences or the entire building1 would have likely been lost. It was about I o'clock when the fire occured. The youngest child,! Hamilton Todd, two years of age during a few minutes when his father was not watching him took fire from the living room into the closet adjoining and this is the cause' of the fire as reported. The Conway fire department responded quickly after the alarm was given and as soon as the boys could be gathered. Prompt action on tlie part of neighbors of Mr. and MrS.
