such a day does break, there will be
no low-priced cotton forced on an
unwilling market.

teeming gardens, and orchards, and

plus, and selling it in his own time,
and in his chosen market, and not at
a master's bidding?getting his pay
in cash and not in a receipted mortgage

Conway has grown during the period
of the war and during the period
of reconstruction following the war;
no matter what the difficulties were
the town has proved its ability r.s a
growing member. Now that conditions
are better, or will be very much
better than they were before, there
should be a great expansion both here
and in the surrounding country.

Most of the farmers will hold their
cotton off the market, as they have
been advised to do. By placing the
entire crop on the market at one time
it would be possible to run the prices
down to a level which is entirely too
lew to pay the cost of producing the
staple. By placing it on sale gradually
they will get a better price. This
is wh.it we all think and we are ant
to be right.
