The peace of Conway was disturbed
iast Sunday niprht when
Hailv Chestnut came in under the
influence of intoxicants, bringing
ivith him his own son, the son having
in his thigh a severe cut measaring
many inches in length. The
man brought tho boy to the doctor,
then knocked about the sheet.- aft< r
cutting at the walls of the building
in which the doctor's office is located.
Bailev was taken to the county
jail by the chief of police to spend
the lvmainder of the night. In the
Jail Chestnut cut up two mattresses,
slashed the coverlets', broke out the
uir'iow panes and pulled out the
sash. Only the iron bars prevented
hi1- goinc: t u' to freedom before day

of the w? ,!s he p;iiil fines which in
amount would seem to be adequate

He could give no satisfactory account
as to how his bov trot cut.
Tho chief of police took a bottle

with home made booze. Judging
by the results this booze most have
