OF HORRY COUNTY
A special meeting of the Trustees'
Association of Horry County
will be held in tlie Court House at
11 o'clock on Satuiday, October
23rd. In order for the schools to
do their best and most efficient
work this term it is ' necessary

between the county superintendent
and the trustees, and clearer understanding1
of some of the laws
under which the schools are run.
There seems to he som? misunderstanding
of the Compulsory Attendance
Law and this law will be
fully discussed and explained at
the meeting. The three laws under
which state aid is secured, viz:
the Extension, Rural Graded, and
Equalizing, will also be explained
so that trustees will be able t:> aid
in making application for aid for
their respective schools. I am
just back from the meeting of
county superintendents which was
held in Florence last week; many
matters of importance were
brought forward at the meeting
and I wish to pass them on to the
trustees.
While this is a meeting of the
trustees, it is not confined to
them, all -who arc interested in the
schools are invited to be present.
The members of the legislative delegation
are especially invited.
