The railways in Hungary, in Rumania
and in every country, though
worn out by the war, arc always
crowded, wtli people clinging to the
roofs of the coaches, thick as flies,
summer and winter. About the stations
are big crowds of men, women
and children, swarming up and
('awn, waiting whole days and nights
for trains.
"Where are all these people going
to?" tlie correspondent asked a conductor
at Bucharest.
Mo stared a moment in astonishment.
"Why, anywhere, nowhere,"
