NEGROES ARRESTED.
The Sheriff of the County was
sent after last Sunday to so to}
Myrtle Beach after two negroes,'
who were reported as "shooting1 up j
the place." These negroes were j
arrested by the Sheriff and lodged;
in the Horry County Jail. A Gov-1
ernment pistol was taken from one!
of them. They ar?* said to come
from the Tabor section.

ACCIDENT TO MULE.
There was an accident near Main!
Street last Monday morning when
the Buick car of Mr. W. A. St;lly
collided with a mule belonging to
Mr. 1). C. Johnson. The Mule's leg
was broken and the Chief of Police
shot the animal, as he was regarded
as worthless after this accident.

morning owing to the grrat j
number of farmers coming in with!
tobacco. This accident occurred just
across the corner at the store of L.
H. Burroughs.
