IS CANDIDATE FOR
CONWAYJAGISTRATE
T. B. Lewis, member of the Conway
bar, has been announced as a
candidate for the office of Magistrate
for Conway Township.
Mr. Lewis is a graduate in law
of the University of South Carolina,
and since his admission to
the bar in 1913 has practiced in
Conway. He^is a native of the
county and his'careBr, , since reaching
maturity, has embraced experience
as teacher .and lawyer, having
taught for some years before
entering the law school.
His training as lawyer and his
personal characteristics eminently
fit him for a judicial position. It is
stated that many friends used their
influence on Mr. Lewis to secure his
candidacy.
For some time the idea of having
a county court at Conway has been
agitated but the plan has not Ik en
carried through. The county court
was, of course, predicated on the
securing of a lawyer as judge.
