AN OPPORTUNITY.
A fine opportunity for some young
rfhan who has completed the High
School to get a college e 'u ation is
offered in The Citadel scholarship
vacant in that institution from this
county. This scholarship is intended,
of course, for the poor boy, and
not the rich,?for the boy who would
not be able to go to college but
this chance which the State gives
him.
The teachers in the High Schools
of the county would do well to bring
this to the attention of bright and
deseiving boys. The scholarslrp is
worth $300 a year, which will nay
nearly all the expenses of a stu 'ent
at the college,
f An advertisement of this sch lorship
appears in this issue of this
paper, and con p'eto information can
f he had about thi.. scholarship by addressing
an inquiring to The C ta<lel,
or applying for blanks to the
' County Superintendent of Education.
Here is a fine cppoitunity
for a deserving and ambitious boy.

Mr. Lewis seems to he satisfied that
