Spivey, to Ingram Thomas Scoggin, of South Bsst n, Va. Prior to the ceremony Mrs. Odell Davis sang "Constancy". While the wedding march was being played by Mrs. Arthur K. G ddfin di four ribbon bearers came forward. They were Margaret Battle, in gretrn; Annette Epps, in blue; Kathleen Anderson, in yellow; and Laura Frances Spivey. in pink. Then came "the bride's maids, lovely in their evening dtestes, with the grroms-j men as follows: Miss Irene Smith of Winnsboro, dressed in blue, with ( Clarence Sessions;' Sarah McMillan, in n'le green, with J no. 1). Each maid carried a basket of aricolorod cut flowers. Mrs. Thos. E. Cooper, ef Wilminff ton, aunt of the bride, as Matron of ; Honor, was dressed in a handsome oown of sea green ehan eusc, irrcdcscent laeo trimmings, carrying' ophelia roses. Miss Aleene Spivey, sister of the bride, Mai I of Honor, was charming in her dress of rose and gold changeable taffeta, carrying russel roses. The white satin pillow was carried by j little Virginia Burroughs, who wa> dressed in fluffy pink organdy. Master Jack Stancel of Allcnton, N. C., wearing a light bhrn suit, entered with a beautiful pink gla Mola, bearing the ring. Preceeding the bride came two little flower girls scattering roses. They were1 Jane Cooper of Wilmington, in pink and Mary Emma Thompson, in blue.' As Mendelsohn's march was changed to Lohengrin's, the bride entered with her father, by whom she was given in marriage. She! never looked more beautiful than ' in her handsome gown of white i Duchess Satin and Princess ^lac? with ostrich and pearl trimmings, court train. Her veil was of coronet effect with orange blossoms. She carried a shower bouquet of bride's roses and sweet peas. The bride was met at the altar by the groom with ? Ernest Shotwell of Virginia, as best man. The Rev. B. G. Murphy, pastor of the bride, performed the ceremony. The bridal part" left the church while Mendelsohn's march was being nlayed. The ushers were Jennings Thompson and Andrew Johnson. Immediately following a reception was held at "Lakewood," the home of the bride's parents.1 The guests were met at the door by Mrs. H. S. Hedgepeth of Wampee, S. 0., has arranger, for the Country Lift. Conference to be held at Wampee on Sept. 9th-12lh, inclusive. The program has been arranged and placed in printed form for the occasion. Some noted speakers and lecturers are assigned on big subjects in this program. The general public is invited to attend the conference which is the first of the; kind to be held in Horry County.
