Hare, South Carolina Field Agent of
the Bureau of Crop Estimates, shows
that the production of wi oat in the
United States litis year will he 445,000,000
bushels less than the forecast
on June 1, 1919 and 109,009,000
bushels less than the estimate of
December 1, .1919. The present fore
cast indicates a total yield of 503,996,000
bushels of winter wheat
against the forecast of June 1. last
year of 892,822,000 bushels. The indicated
yield if spring wheat is 276,
547,000 bushels against 349,181,000
bushels?the forcast of production

2, at 9 a. m. Applicants must not be
less than sixteen years of age.
When Scholarships are vacant after
July 2 they will be awarded to those
making the highest average at this
examination, provided they meet
the conditions governing the award.
