DECIDES ON LIBRARY
The Hut Bible Cass of the Con- j
way Methodist Church has decided
to put in a library of its own at the
hut. This matter has been discussed
by the members of the class for
some time and came up again .'recent
ly when a Committee was appointed ;
consisting of H. L. Buck, J. W.
Sparks and Whitcford Sessions, to
carry out the plans of the class in
this respect. This Committee has in I
| charge the matter of installing the i
right kind of shelves for books or !
book oases such as they see fit to '
put in. This library, when establish i
e<l will be for the use of the general
public as well as for the Bible Class.
The class intends to keep the library
open lwo or three evenings out of
'a h week and they will have some
young lady engaged to be in charge
of the library. They will subscribe
I to the leading magazines and will
I have tables arranged in the Hut
I with electric lights installed, so as
to make a very comfortable reading
room.

been doing for several years and it
is certain that he will make e.ery
effort to expand the business that
will be done by the corporation.
WILL BFILD STORES.
Col. D. A. Spivey, intends to build
about seven stores on his property
now vacant, lying on the East side
of Main Street and extending from
the Horry Hardware Company to the
lawn in front of his residence. The
new buildings will be of brick and
one story high, excepting the two
corner stores which will he two
stories. Col. Spivey has been UiIking
of making this improvement for
some time past but has been delayed
on account of the shortage of
material and scarcity of labor. He
thinks that this condition will soon
bo relieved and he intends to begin
the election of these new buildings
on his property. Applications have
been made for each of these stores,
and Col. Spivey hopes to have them
ready on or before October 1st.

last week held an auction
sale of real estate at Bolivia, North
Carolina. Mr. Hanson says that this
