ON MAY 25TH As this paper stated in a former issue, the Pastime Theater announcI es to have on the screen once each , month a special feature picture that j is known to be of the very highest class of entertainment, and this I plan was started with the "Unpardonable Sfn," which was showi^ ic4* the Pastime laat month. Mr. A. T*. McCoy, the manager of,fche theater, spent some time in trying to select the very best picture he could find j for the month of May. The picture selected consists of eight reels entitled "The Miracle Man," and it will be shown at the theater on Tue< I -1 - if - , nay, may zotn. The Herald cannot, do better than, to copy a part of a lengthy re .new of this moving picture which was published in Variety Magazine: i Heats "Ben Hur." The picture itself is founde 1 on the novel of the same name by , Frank L. Packard. Of this novel I George M. Cohan ma lo a play. N w I George Loane Tin ker has made a i picture of it for the Paramount pe ( pie, but before handing him s :ch I bouquets as he deserves for his work here it should be said that he owe ' most of all his results to Mr. Packard's conception of sentimental values. Since "Hen llu." nothing approaching this has been seen on stage or screen, and it has "Ben Hur" beaten seven ways f. >r it a1 j sentiment. It is simpler, more true : to life as we know it and so more el feciive.
