result of propaganda stating the
government had done nothing for
former soldiers.
"It is hard to come back," Holderv
said, "and see the I. W. VV. under

former service men and plotting the
overthrow of the government."
J. G. Strutgham, a member of the
Legion's executive committee, tol l
the committee there was much discontent
among both former service
men and women and that immediate
lelief was necessary.
"They feel they haven't gotten a
square deal and are chafing with
unrest," Stiugham said in urging
passage of a composite bill framed
by the Legion and providing privileged
land settlements as suggested
in the Lane-Mondell bill, homebuild;ng
aid, vocational training and payment
of ad justed compensation at the
rate of $1.^0 for every day of serfice.
The plan for relief dees not come
from any class of officers or enlisted

adding that the Legion had done the
best it could "and feels this fourfold
plan is fair to everyone."
Representative Garner, Democrat,
Texas, wanted to know how thei
funds to carry out". the Region's II

The witness said he would leave (
that to the committee, but he estimated
the total cost at approximately

"With your fingers! You can lift
off any hard com, soft com, or corn
between the toes, and the hard skin
calluses from bottom of feet.
A tiny bottle of "Freezone" costs
iittle at any drug store; apply a few
drops upon the com or callus. Instantly
it stops hurting, then shortly
you lift that bothersome corn or callus
right off, root and all, without
one bit of pain or soreness. Truly!

strength is slow to return.
Week after week you've felt too
tired for anything, and have looked
it, toq?color bad, eyes dull and no
enthusiasm.
When you don't feel well you are
not well. Probably what you need
right now is the good blood tonic,
Pepto-Mangan. Physicians everywhere
recommend Pepto-Mangan for
run-down, anemic people. Ask your
doctor about it. Pepto-Mangan supplies
the things that blood-starved
people lack. It puts iron and vigor
in the blood. It paints the cheeks
in Nature's way, and restores the
hearty appetite.
The blood is naturally sluggish
in the Spring and the whole family
would profit by taking Pepto-Mangan,
which tones up and builds up.
It is pleasant-tasting and soon makes
you feel better. Your own druggist
has it ready for your call, and
in both liquid and tablet form, just
