SENATOR H. L. BUCK
WILL NOTRUN A6AIN
The Herald learns from good authority
that Senator Hal L. Buck will
aot stand for election again to the
office of State Senator from Horry
County. Neither will he be in politics
at all, that is, he will not fill any
public office, after his present term
t>f office has expired.
The reason why the matterv has
come up for attention and creating
interest just now is because the
Legislature convenes the second
Tuesday in January when Mr. Buck
will be on hand in Columbia to attend
Ic his duties as Senator during the
last session of his term. During the
time that Senator Buck has filled
this position he has been very active

many U'gP lU* I

conditions of Horry County. He was I
especially instrumental in providing |
the machinery for a new form of
County Government, especially relating
to the public roads and the making
of better roads in many parts of
the County.
Many friends of Senator Buck will
be sorry to learn that he will not
stand for re-election.
