Miss Laura Jenkins gave a Mi-eel-i laneous Shower Wednesday after- j noon, November 5th, from 4 to 6 o'clock, in honor of the bride-elect, M iss Kathleen Sessions. Among the many parties given in honor of Miss sessions this was one ol the prettiest and most unique. The guests were met at the side door and taken into the sitting room where a bulletin board was posted on the door j announcing the date and time the Matrimonial tiain Miss Sessions was taking would leave. Miss Jenkins then opened the door and asked the' bride-elect to follow the "Rocky Road to Matrimony," lifting the rocks and stones she found in the road, this road ran down through the hall and on into the parlor. Jn the brown pallor bags were found many beautiful gifts for the bride. After the guest of honor opened her gifts, Miss Jenkins invited the guests into the dining room where she sei-ved a salad course followed by a sweet course. Miss Jenkins then gave each of the girls a piece of paper and asked each one to use the letters of her own name and give the bride-elect a few ideas as how to manage a husband. These were put into a hand-painted cover and given to the guest of honor. IN I'ONOIt OF MISS SESSIONS. Miss Jessamine Burroughs entertained in honor of the bride-elect, Miss Kathleen Session at a luncheon last Saluniay. The guests were greeted at the door by the hostess and invited into the living room whore a social half hour was enjoyed before lunch was served. The dining room was beautifully decorated in potted plants and cut flowers, the candles throwing a soft mellow glow over the whole room. Hanging from the chandelier was a huge pink rose hall with ribbons falling around the center piece of white chrysanthemums. The place cards were fastened to a minature heart fiom the top of which was suspended a tiny wedding bell. The favors wore small pap T baskets filled with p'nk and white mints. The beautiful Stalvev home was i decorated in white and yellow chry- c santhemums. The guests were met I by Mrs. Stalvey and invited in the \ living room where they were served * with tea by Miss Loula Stalvey, dress ( ed as a Chinese girl. The guests were i then asked to be seated on the floor t and were served rice, using a pair of < chop sticks. The one most effi- < cient in using the chop sticks won the > prize. This was presented to Mrs. ' (ieo. Rogers. After the guests had been invited nto the parlor, they were given lish towels to hem for the bride. Wrs. H. L. Scarborough received the )rize, a silver thimble, as fastest earnstress. Then each one wrote ner 'avorite recipe, these were bound in 1 hand-painted cover and presented o tne bride. Mrs. J. A. Norton then ?ntered, dressed as a Fairy, bearing >n a tin plate a card on which was .vrittcn: Tt has been rumored here and there, That if you will follow this fairy fo a place under the stair, A pot of gold, you are sure to find there."
