The way to got thing's done is to begin on them in the morning and "work all day. o farmers are hauling in one of the largest crops of com they ever raised in this section of the State. o The business men of a town must pull together if they would improve their town. , o So far as we can tell there has yet beep no return of the flu to this sec-H-iofx of the country. ^ -?.n Several real estate deals made in Conway during the last week or two have been at lower figures than earlier in the year. Q Contests are coming up now about things that were deeply buried during the war. r ?-*? We think that we know and then find out that we did not know. This j is about the way it goes in this world, time without end. o The spirit of improvement is about the best thing in human nature to keep the human lace interested. o Here in Horry are to he found the best lands for the raising of ail kinds of crops, and at much lower prices than in many of the other counties of this State. There is nothing which should interest the farmer more than the doing of his hardest work hy machinery, whenever it is possible to accomplish it with machinery. o Plants often overdo the tiling in their < fforts to produce as rapidly and as bounteously as nature seems to want them to do. It is so in the human family where more often than not the results of efforts put forth seem to go wrong. Conway is not only on the way now to become a considerable city; she lias been on the way for a long time, and is now much nearer the goal. Every day brings signs of growth which will be more active as soon as materials are in reach. ?? One of the prettiest sights we have seen lately is the hauling of great loads of cotton and other produce on the big trucks that are now represent eel here, showing the farmers of thi.section what can be done in modem times with a good road and a bi<> machine. o It appears that this country will have to do without one of the things of which it was net deprived entirely during the war. Substituttes will have to be found for sugar and the sooner this is (lone the* hotter. A? soon as the sugar crop is put on the market, the public may have to pa> the highest price they have ever pai'l for this commodity. ^ ; V . > .r .t-ft f r " - * M) - - .
