Last Friday was the day appointed for the trial of a malicious mischief, .variant sworn out by John G. Allen Against Morgan Gasquc alleging that ( Gasquc shot a number. of cattle belonging to the prosecqtor. The case was moved frotri Mr. Black and transferred to Magistrate J. J. King, near Adrian, and the prosecutor, John G. Allen, had the :ase moved from Magistrate King to Magistrate Chestnut at Conway. When the case was called for trial last Friday, E. S. C. Baker, Esq., representing the defendant, made? a motion to continue the case and the prosecutor made amendments in his warrant. It was necessary to set another day for the trial. The new date far the trial in this case is September 19th. TOBACCO INCREASED.
